RM500,000 for each parliamentary constituency

ALL parliamentary constituencies will each receive RM500,000 from the Prime Minister’s special allocation.

Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Hassan Malek said the money would be channelled through the State Development Office in each state.

“All members of Parliament can propose to the Office suitable projects for implementation using the allocation,” he said in a written reply to Loke Siew Fook (DAP-Rasah) at the Dewan Rakyat.

Loke wanted to know the amount allocated for development in Parliamentary constituencies this year and how it would be channelled.

Hassan said the State Development Office would consider the projects proposed based on the existing guidelines and financial regulations.
